Who We Are
Friendship Community Place is a 501c3 Not for Profit that was birthed from the imagination and commitment of Friendship Presbyterian Church. It is a hyper-local neighborhood hub on Chicago’s NWSide designed for multi-use partnerships that promote equity, justice and provides resources and public programming for our neighbors in the building at 5150 and in the wider NWSide community. Our resources include free weekly community meals, a love fridge and small pantry as well opportunities to build skills and capacity through our Kitchen Krewe program. Public programming includes advocacy opportunities, civic engagement and the arts.

FCP is a neighborhood hub!
Here, we share resources, develop skills and knowledge, and deepen community partnerships. We engage in this work with awareness of Chicago's history of segregation and systemic racism. We draw on community organizing tools and trauma informed approaches to build solidarity and develop community programs with, not for, our neighbors.
