BUILDING COMMUNITY ON THE NORTHWWEST SIDE

We’re just getting started!

We have volunteer opportunities for everyone: youth, seniors, folks who need to complete service hours, and we are open to internship proposals. Our programming is generated by communities of volunteers and we are very grateful for the gift of folks' time. While the bulk of our work happens in our kitchen, we have other volunteer opportunities available if cooking isn’t your thing! We partner with a variety of local organizations and neighbors to provide community programming, offer resources, and host civic events.

We ask all volunteers who will work with kids or vulnerable populations to submit a background check and will cover the cost and we also subsidize training for special kitchen related certifications for those interested. Reach out to us at info@fpcchicago.org for more information!

Interested in volunteering with Friendship?

We host monthly volunteer training sessions that are two hours long. The first half of the training goes over the culture and mission at Friendship and gives you an overview of how our organization operates. The second half is for those interested in volunteering in our kitchen; we will provide food handler training so that you have all the skills you need to help prepare and serve a meal!
